چکیده

‘T1HI5 REPORT presents a procedure for the automated simultaneous determination of both calcium and phosphate, and its application to the analysis of a 0.6-mi. serum specimen. Calcium is determined by atomic absorption spectrophotometry, using a portion of the diluted and dialyzed serum sample (1). Phosphate is determined on the undialyzed residual serum by an improved automated spectrophotometric system which utilizes also a more sensitive reducing agent, stannous chloridehydrazine solution. This reagent was introduced recently by Hurst (2) and soon utilized by Kraml (3) for phosphohipid analysis.
